Koraï x Piktura : a collaboration towards art for conservation
Introduction
We are pleased to unveil a unique collaboration between Koraï and the image school Piktura, which highlights a vital cause: the regeneration of coral reefs in the Indian Ocean. Thanks to the talent of two promising students, Marion Bracq and Elliot Desmarets, a one-minute short film was created to illustrate Koraï’s mission: giving new life to the Koko, corals in search of a new family beneath the waters of Nosy Be.
A Meaningful Artistic Creation
As the famous saying goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words,” and this poignant and visually captivating video is a striking example of this. In just one minute, Marion and Elliot capture the essence of Koraï’s work: coral reef regeneration in Madagascar, while raising awareness about the importance of preserving these ecosystems. Through delicate yet powerful imagery, this short film echoes the urgency to act in order to protect marine biodiversity, reminding us of how art can be a powerful driver of change.
A Call to Action
This remarkable work, subtly blending art and ecology, touches hearts and invites all of us to reflect on how we can each contribute to the preservation of our oceans. Moved by this initiative? We encourage you to share this video with your community and help amplify the message.
If you’d like to learn more about our mission and discover how you too can make a difference, visit Koraï’s website. Every action counts, and together, we can restore thousands of corals to their rightful place in the Indian Ocean. A big thank you to Marion and Elliot for their creativity, commitment, and for showing that art, in service of an environmental cause, can be a powerful engine for change.
Awareness and Engagement for All
Raising awareness about the preservation of coral reefs is crucial at any age. We firmly believe that everyone can act, in their own way, to protect our oceans. Today, through our coral adoption program, everyone can contribute concretely to this cause by adopting a coral. Together, let’s ensure that every Koko finds its place back in its natural habitat.
